but when you have to spend 60% of your time just collecting the most basic resources in the game, it leaves very little other time to do anything else, such as build all the cool toys, collect all the fish, read all the pdas, and explore all the cool biomes. then and only then do you have the time to enjoy the rest of the game. early on, by the time you finish chasing down enough fish to eat, once you cook it you need to start all over again, untill you get self sufficient for food (and this is all fine and good, because starting off by becomeing food sufficient it the whole point of survival games). it takes so much time to find all the stuff we need. When it comes down to it, its all about time. its also not like they would sease to exist just because you already found the blueprints, there would still be pieces of junk lying around all over the place, and this would improve the feel of the insides of the wrecks immesurably. it made sense to do this when all the framents looked like white safes (it was annoying to have to go up to every fragment just to see if it was the ones you were trying to find), but now that many of the fragments have models (not all, but many do), and thus they are eaiser to tell appart from eachother, they could also be a very useful source of titanium. use the cutting torch, or better yet, the habitat builder to glean titanium from larger sources.Īnother way to improve this issue would be to remove the coding that doesnt let fragments spawn into new bioms if you have already unlocked the bluprints for them. this would help to simulate the fact that there are hundreds of tons of it, sitting right there, that we currently cant use.Įither that, or they could implement some sort of way of harvesting titanium directly from the wrecks themselves (similar to the large coral tubes perhaps). now i have had to search for hours just to find enough for two bases and all the vehicles (we need so many ingots now i just burn through the stuff like it was air).Ī simple solution would be: anytime there is a wreck, litter the area around it (and the inside), with hull fragments. I mean we harvest it from hull fragments, but we can not harvest it from larger fragments lilke the wrecks or, i dont know, the several million tons of it that is the aurora? the degrasi survivors hint that they stripped down their entire vessle (we have never found the wreck for it) for titanium, but we are limited to little chunks of it we find lying around, or limestone deposites (or the new, but rare drill nodes).

seems to me that they are probably trying to ballance things, but if there was anything that we should essentially have an unlimited, easy supply of, it would be the bases for all of our technology. im guessing they pulled a lot of hull fragments out once they implemented drilling, but it seems that titanium drill deposits are super rare (there's gold for days, but not the thing you use more than anything else in the whole game?). while land-based plants can be grown on an Interior Growbed, which can be placed in any base, Cyclops, or dry land.Has anyone else noticed that there appears to be a lot less titanium than there used to be? or is it just my imagination.

Underwater plants can be grown on an Exterior Growbed, so long as it's underwater. Using a knife on numerous flora or collecting fruit will yield seeds, which can then be grown at a much faster rate. Of course, should players want a faster method, they can also grow the plants themselves.
